Update on Stormii

Well... The day I have waited for with a mix of dread and anticipation finally has a date attached to it. The nurse called Stormii yesterday and they have set March 29th as the date for her surgery. We have to be there at 6am- she is scheduled to go in at 8am.

Lost in a video game...

Well.... Saturday I was over at Half-Price Books and noticed Roller Coaster Tycoon (With 2 expansion packs) cheap as could be... You can imagine what I did for the rest of the weekend... Well- not entirely true... Saturday evening we went to church and then to my Grammy's birthday party, and Sunday- me and lil-one made crystals and tried to go launch rockets (we discovered we need wading to make em work)... But Saturday night, Stormii had to work overnight so I sat up playing most of the night. I've had this game before (not sure what happened to it) but I get hopelessly addicted... I'd hate to see how I'd be if I got one of the newer versions... Anyway... if you don't see me around... I'm probably lost building my dream park!

Survivor

At La Mina... Sally realizes she is the odd woman out... She had no clue Misty was going... And she's worried (like they always are...) Meanwhile... Dan decides that they will need a fifth person in their alliance... and wants Ruth-Marie... He thinks she'll be more loyal after a merge... At the other camp... Bruce, Shane and Aras are gathering snails... but they get back to find a bunch of lazy-asses at the camp have let the fire die. People bitch at eachother... The alliance of idiots looks shaky... And Cirie couldn't be happier. REWARD CHALLENGE: PUZZLE PARANOIA Each tribe gets six floating puzzle pieces. One tribe member at a time will swim out, dive down, unclip a puzzle piece, and bring it back to the puzzle frame. Once the piece is placed in the puzzle frame, the next person can go out. When all six of the puzzle pieces have been collected, the tribe may start assembling the puzzle by matching corresponding symbols on each side of every piece. First tribe to get it together correctly wins the Reward: Casa de Charmin: a full-service bathroom courtesy of Charmin. Casaya wins the reward and gets the bathroom.... and gets to choose somebody to send to exile island.... They send Terry. La Mina falls apart without Terry's leadership.... *******Can I say something here- The last few Survivor seasons have just really killed my entertainment value with rewards like this. Why baby these people? A reward challenge should have been for just the toilet paper. or a couple of towels... Not a friggin bathroom, shower, and all the other stuff they got. That was ridiculous! Let's get back to playing Survivor- Not Vacation!******** At Casaya- they decide they should keep towels and firewood in their new bathroom to keep it dry... Bobby sees it as an opportunity to use it as what it was intended for... and christens it properly... Terry is on exile island and looks at the clues... and then heads straight over to where the immunty idol is buried. Gee... what punishment Casaya piled on him, eh? Back at Casya... Shane and Danielle argue over work ethic... Cirie is overjoyed... At La Mina- they are trying to fish. They are failing miserably, but they are trying. I bet Sally regrets dropping that spear more and more every day.... IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: SEA LEVEL TREE LEVEL One person is seated in a chair attached to a pulley, while another person is situated directly above them in a crow's nest, where an empty water drum hangs. The other four remaining tribe members are together in pairs, which will race across a balance beam carrying buckets. Once they reach the water, they must dip their bucket in, get water, race back and empty the water into a larger pail. The person in the crow's nest will pull that pail up and empty the water into the drum. As the drum takes on water, it will lower, but the person in the chair will rise until they're high enough to pull a pin releasing their tribe's flag. First tribe to release their flag wins Immunity. Casaya squeaks out the win due to Dan falling at one point, and then Austin pours like a little girl trying not to spill a drop... back to Tribal council for La Mina.... The guys decide that Dan was the only one who told Ruth Marie she would be coming with them.... the rest never said a word. So they decide to vote her off instead- keeping the spear dropper for her strength.... We'll have to wait and see how that works for them.... ************************************* Some of you who have been reading my blog for a long time may wonder why I'm not giving the play by play for American Idol. We have been watching it, but there are just too many people still in it right now for me to go thru them all. I will wait until we're down to the final 12 before I start. I can't say I'm dissapointed with the vote outs last night though... None of the folks who left had a shot anyway.

How we spent our Thursday.....

Well... we went to a new doctor today.... And I feel better. Stormii will need surgery to have her cysts removed. I hate that - BUT - We finally are headed in some direction. We aren't just sitting in limbo anymore waiting for what the next doctor might say. We aren't getting passed around waiting for someone who thinks he can handle it. Looks like around 6 weeks before they do it. Then, they said she'll probably need 3 or 4 days in the hospital, then around 6 weeks to recover completely. So... Since we took the day off to visit the doctor, and since we were at the medical center which is right by the zoo and the museums and things.... We decided to head over to the butterfly center at the museum. That was a blast... we had butterflies landing on us and surrounding us and everything.... Then... we went to the zoo. Walked around till they closed... We had a really good day. Thanks everybody for the prayers!

American Idol Wednesday

A cry for help/random gibberish

Well... tomorrow is the big day... We go to another doctor to try to find out what is up with the cysts my wife has. Hopefully this one will be the right one. I've discovered something about myself during all this... I am real good at turning stuff over to God for him to handle- But I am better at snatching it back and hanging on to it with all I have. I worry. I'm anxious. I drive myself nuts. I smoke a lot- even though I'm supposed to have quit. I dwell on things and close in on myself. It's sad... I know what I should do with this- I should trust in God to take care of it- in His time- in the way He thinks is best.... But I have problems letting go. I know that there are more people praying for my wife than I ever thought could pray about something. I know that no matter how much worrying I do- I will not change things by doing so. I know that it is in God's hands- not mine. Yet I still hang on... How do you deal with this? How do you let go and just trust in God to handle things? And when you do hand them over... how do you keep yourself from grabbing it back? *I've witheld writing this post for quite some time... I try to be Stormii's rock even when I'm not feeling like I can be. I hate to let her know I am worried- and I hate not letting her know also. Some days it eats me up inside because I don't have a clue what I'm doing... Last night- She was upset about my smoking... I totally understand that, but until we are through this- I don't think I can quit. But that started us down the track where she thinks I am smoking because of her... In a way- she's partially right... but it's MY MONKEY- not hers... I am smoking because it's a way I've always dealt with things... it's a comfort thing for me in a way. It really has nothing to do with her. I don't even know if any of this is making sense... Anyway... Maybe somebody has some advice for me? Maybe on how I can leave things in God's hands and not try to take it all on my shoulders? ****It was brought to my attention that some of you may not have a clue what I am talking about with the cysts.... Basically, last year Stormii's doctor felt something in her abdomen that felt a little odd to her. She sent us to get a CT scan- that showed a rather large mass of cysts. A trip to the surgeon, and then he recommended a uroligist. Urologist sent us for an MRI- then decided it was a bigger job than he can handle, and he has recommended us to yet another Urologist. We go tomorrow to the new one. The mass of cysts in her belly can be seen on the scans starting around the lungs and diapragm, continues down to her bladder- touching pretty much everything inbetween. They think it is connected to her kidney (the one that looks like a pancake in the scans) and we will probably need more tests to find out for sure. A quick scan of our posts about it are here, here(bottom), here, here & here. A few of Stormii's can be found here, here & here.

Update on a scrapbooking desk.....

As Stormii uses her desk I built, her needs are becoming more apparent. I've held off building the upper shelving to give her time to feel it out and let me know what she wants. Today, I threw this together to hold her stamps: So.... one wall is almost finished... I think it just needs a shelf across the top of the pegboard and it will be pretty much good to go. In that pic, there is a small temporary shelf on the bottom of the pegboard. I have been going back and forth on that one.... I may make a shelf like that that runs the entire length of the desk... It'd be great to put small stuff on up off of her work surface.... I just don't know yet. Next project is the big shelves for the other wall.

OK... so maybe I'm just a big kid....

... But I discovered something today.... I've been sitting here with a camera within arms length that takes digital video! So what better to try the whole video thing out then to play with my new toy? Ya'll are all gonna think I'm a total geek by the time I get over this thing.... but that's ok. So what if every time I walk by it I have to grab it and twirl around a few times? So what if every time I go out to smoke, I leave the lights off and chase the dogs around with the glowing blue light? So what if right now I'm taking a short break from watching Episode 3 to post this & so what if I'm watching Episode 3 mostly to get a good look at MY lightsaber in action? Anyway... enjoy the video- Yes... I know... I look like a spaz.... Click here to see it And if you don't think that's cool.... See how I'll be described in the dictionary:
guppyman --
[adjective]:

Sexually stunning

More about my lightsaber....

Ok.... Since I've been asked a number of times... My lightsaber is made by Master Replicas. They sell them on their site, but you can get them cheaper by going to WalMart.com Mine is the Force FX Anakin Skywalker Lightsaber EP III if you want to search for a better price.... Besides Anakin's lightsaber like I have, they also make Luke Skywalker's, Darth Vader's and Mace Windu's Lightsabers. If you decide to get one.... I'd suggest you bite the bullet and get two... you are going to want to battle with someone (trust me). I found one website that said they will be coming out with others later this year including Darth Maul's double bladed saber (I want it!) *Update - I was reading Master Replica's Blog and found the Darth Maul saber will be out very soon!
Only $199! Collectors Society On Sale: February 21, 2006 (9:00 am Pacific Time) General Public On Sale Date: February 23, 2006 (9:00 am Pacific Time) Expected to begin shipping: Late Spring 2006
And one more thing.... When everybody gets theirs.... Ya'll gotta come over and we'll all battle out in the backyard!

Sick day...

We picked up the lil-Angel yesterday and she wasn't feeling well... They said she wasn't feverish or anything... I felt her and she was burning up... So... she is at home today with a 102.5 fever... Luckily, Stormii decided to stay home with her. I hate it when she's sick. It tears me up knowing there isn't too much I can do other that make her comfortable and give her medicine... I want to grab her and take it all away.... There's nothing worse than watching someone you love suffer.

New renter....

I have a new renter this week... Luka's Incogblogo Her description of herself: I'm random, disorganized and forgetful. I'm also redundant and repetitive. (Redundant and repetitive.) I'm Anti Bush; Pro Choice; Anti Death Penalty; Pro Gay Marriage. I make a lot of jokes; some of them might make you laugh. Dork/DINK/Derelict. Now... you may wonder why on Earth I would rent to somebody who is Anti Bush, Pro Choice, Anti Death Penalty & Pro Gay Marriage.... To which I would answer.... Why not? People have different viewpoints... I'm ok with that. As long as her views don't win at the ballot box, it's all good anyway, right? So go visit Luka and tell her she's wrong about everything- or at least tell her guppy sent ya.... And then, check out the new toy I got in the next post down...

Who Am I?

Who am I? That the Lord of all the earth, Would care to know my name, Would care to feel my hurt, Who am I? That the Bright and Morning Star, Would choose to light the way, For my ever wandering heart, Not because of who I am, But because of what You've done, Not because of what I've done, But because of who You are, I am a flower quickly fading, Here today and gone tomorrow, A wave tossed in the ocean (ocean), A vapor in the wind, Still You hear me when I'm calling, Lord, You catch me when I'm falling, And You've told me who I am.. I am Yours. Who am I? That the eyes that see my sin, Would look on me with love, and watch me rise again, Who am I? That the voice that calmed the sea, Would call out through the rain, And calm the storm in me, Not because of who I am, But because of what You've done, Not because of what I've done, But because of who You are, I am a flower quickly fading, Here today and gone tomorrow, A wave tossed in the ocean (ocean), A vapor in the wind, Still You hear me when I'm calling, Lord, You catch me when I'm falling, And You've told me who I am... I am Yours, I am Yours. I am Yours, Whom shall I fear? Whom shall I fear? Cause I am Yours, I am Yours. Artist: Casting crowns Song: Who am I

Cheney and the media....

I have been watching with a strange fascination the media today... They are all in an uproar that the White House didn't do their job for them and spoon feed them the story about Cheney shooting his hunting buddy. What's up with that? Does the White House have to inform the media about everything that happens? What ever happened to investigating a story? Is the media so spoiled that they feel that stories should be handed to them and they shouldn't have to do any work to get the info? Why do they think it's the story's job to find them rather than them finding the story? Anyway- On a lighter note.... I've just gotten a memo from Human Resources Cussing at work It has been brought to management's attention that some individuals throughout the company have been using foul language during the normal conversation with their co-workers. Due to complaints received from some employees who may be easily offended, this type of language will no longer be tolerated. We do however realize the critical importance of being able to accurately express your feelings when communicating with co-workers. Therefore, a list of 18 New and Innovative "TRY SAYING" phrases has been provided so that proper exchange of ideas and information can continue in an effective manner. 1) TRY SAYING: I think you could use more training. INSTEAD OF: You don't know what the f___ you're doing. 2) TRY SAYING: She's an aggressive go-getter. INSTEAD OF: She's a ball-busting b__ch. 3) TRY SAYING: Perhaps I can work late. INSTEAD OF: And when the f___ do you expect me to do this? 4) TRY SAYING: I'm certain that isn't feasible. INSTEAD OF: No f______ way. 5) TRY SAYING: Really? INSTEAD OF: You've got to be sh__ing me! 6) TRY SAYING: Perhaps you should check with... INSTEAD OF: Tell someone who gives a sh__. 7) TRY SAYING: I wasn't involved in the project. INSTEAD OF: It's not my f______ problem. 8) TRY SAYING: That's interesting. INSTEAD OF: What the f___? 9) TRY SAYING: I'm not sure this can be implemented. INSTEAD OF: This sh__ won't work. 10) TRY SAYING: I'll try to schedule that. INSTEAD OF: Why the f____ didn't you tell me sooner? 11) TRY SAYING: He's not familiar with the issues. INSTEAD OF: He's got his head up his a__. 12) TRY SAYING: Excuse me, sir? INSTEAD OF: Eat sh__ and die. 13) TRY SAYING: So you weren't happy with it? INSTEAD OF: Kiss my a__. 14) TRY SAYING: I'm a bit overloaded at the moment. INSTEAD OF: F___ it, I'm on salary. 15) TRY SAYING: I don't think you understand. INSTEAD OF: Shove it up your a__. 16) TRY SAYING: I love a challenge. INSTEAD OF: This job sucks. 17) TRY SAYING: You want me to take care of that? INSTEAD OF: Who the f___ died and made you boss? 18 ) TRY SAYING: He's somewhat insensitive. INSTEAD OF: He's a pr_ck. Thank You, Human Resources

Olympic coverage

Am I the only one who gets pissed off over the coverage of the Olympics? I like live coverage. I understand the need to put stuff in prime time... that's fine... Package up the popular events from the day into a nifty little prime time slot, and show it... But there are events all day that you could/should be showing live. Especially on the weekend. Why does NBC insist on tape delaying EVERYTHING???? Grrrrrr..... Another thing that pissed me off last night... They showed Chad Hedrick getting his gold medal- they showed the very last line of the Star Spangled Banner... Then immediately after, they showed Canada's Jennifer Heil - And I got to sit thru every bit of O Canada. WTF??? This is on American TV? Why do you cut the American athlete short, and give the Canadian full time??? I just don't get it. Whoever is the programming director over at NBC needs to find a new job.... Of course, this is the same complaint I have every time the Olympics are running. If you have 4 or 5 different channels to show events on... USE THEM! Show us live events... use your glamour channel for highlights! OK... I'll quit ranting... at least I got to see some good women's hockey this weekend.

Uh oh.... Now I've got two of them... Today, we took lil Angel shopping so she could get her own scrapbooking stuff (she spent her own money even). She picked her own paper and stickers and stuff... Then, She came in with Stormii and they sat down together and created a couple of pages. lil Angel was so excited! She had complete creative control (she got Stormii to help her with some cutting and stuff)... Somebody help me... Now I'm gonna have to support two scrapbooking addictions....

For those keeping score at home...

New appointment for Stormii with new doctor is set for Thursday, Feb 23rd.

Survivor

We start out with rain. Lot's of rain. And then, the sky tries to give Shane a light... But he forgot his smokes. Poor shane. Then we flsh over to the young girls getting a papaya... Described as almost orgasmic by one of the girls.... Then back to Shane.... Having an extreme nicotine fit inspired manic depression moment... Why me... poor me... I miss my son... I miss Marlboro... wah wah wah..... So then... everybody gets together and finds out the best twist Survivor has ever had is getting dumped after one episode. They pick teams and form two tribes... Bruce doesn't get picked and gets told he has to go sit on Exile Island for three days... Why pick the skelton astronaut over the karate master? oh well... Reward Challenge: The two new tribes must race through an obstacle course, collecting six wooden snakes along the way. The tribes will collect two snakes at each of three stations. Each tribe must delegate one player to carry all six snakes throughout the entire course. The first tribe to cross the finish line with all their snakes wins the Reward: valuable fishing supplies. La Mina beats Casya (figured I'd have to throw the new tribe names in somewhere...) And they win the fishing stuff.... Casaya's younger members quickly make a final four pact of Shane, Courtney, Danielle and Aras... Yay! The older stupid women are screwed! At La Mina... The older guys want Nic and Austin. Then we find out the young girls want Nic and Austin too. So... who knows which way they'll swing...? Bruce is over on Exile Island with a new clue to where the immunity idol is... They show him try to make fire, do some karate, and go to sleep. 3 days on the island and that's all the footage they got? What do you want to bet... Bruce has that little idol..... Sally & Nic decide to go fishing with their new spear... Sally tries it one time- and forgets to hang on to the thing.... So much for eating fish! What an idiot! Immunity Challenge: The two tribes must work together to transport a giant zombie head from the ocean to the beach. Each tribe has a boat anchored to the ocean floor with a large wooden box. In addition, each boat has six holes filled with rubber plugs. Five tribe members have to pull out the plugs and begin bailing water out of the boat while the other two tribe members jump into the water and start moving the boat by pulling the anchor towards shore. Once the boat is clipped onto the hitching post, it's a race up the beach to put the anchor on the finish mat. The first tribe to put the zombie head on the zombie body wins Immunity. La Nina wins- Casaya looked so pathetic that even Jeff commented... The really sad part was they started doing better once the guys got in the boat and one of the girls started dragging the anchor... Shane begs to be voted off, but his alliance talks him out of it, and they get rid of one of the idots... I mean... older ladies Melinda. Then Bruce gets to join Casaya and the show ends. I'm kinda pissed they didn't let the four tribe thing play out. I thought it added something new to the game that was entertaining. I guess after seeing the old ladies vote out their strongest member, they knew they didn't have a prayer in upcoming challenges and decided to give them a shot... Oh well...

Headlines....

I look around the news quite frequently, and today I decided to see what some of the news outlets consider the "Top Story" today... Here ya go: MSNBC U.S. eyes protecting polar bears from warming We wouldn't want warm polar bears, now owuld we? My question... How the Hell do you protect polar bears from warming? Do you build massive cold storage buildings that they can come hang out in if it gets too warm? Do you drop ice off for them to come gather- kinda like hurricane releif when they drop ice and water? CNN Deadly cartoon riot near U.S. base OMG!!!! Roger Rabbit has come to life! I knew that it was a giant conspiracy to hide the fact that cartoons are real- and they're pissed off! CBSnews Bush: Stop Violence Over Cartoons Acoording to CNN- the cartoons started it! Tell them to stop first, and we'll see about responding in kind. ABCnews Four More Churches Burned WTF? I can understand somebody who doesn't like religion or something... But why try to destroy a bunch of churches? I keep hearing Liberals say that God should be kept in church, not in public.... But if you burn the churches down... Guess where the church folks will end up? Drudge Report KING FUNERAL TURNS POLITICAL: BUSH BASHED BY FORMER PRESIDENT, REVEREND I caught bits of this yesterday- and this was pathetic. Can anything be non-political anymore? How about you honor the woman who died instead of petty political attacks? I'd be pissed if I was a family member or friend- actually- I'm pissed anyway. They better watch out or I'll send some cartoon rioters their way.... Boston Globe Study finds no major benefits of low-fat diet WOOOHOOOO!!!!! I can continue my meat and potatoes diet and not hear all the crap I get about it.... USA Today ‘A lot more, a lot earlier' in 2008 White House race Some people act as if they are campaigning 24/7 anyway... even a lot of folks who don't have a snoball's chance in Hell of getting anywhere... So what's the difference? Yawn... Wake me up when they quit complaining about Bush and get an idea of their own. OK... I'm bored with it now... Time to get out of the news and find some humor in my day... Hope everybody has a great one and we appreciate everybody's support and prayers!

Another update.....

We went to the doc today...He took a look at her MRI results and decided that it is more than he can handle.... So... he refered us to another doctor. So now... we need to make an appointment to drive in to Houston to see what this next guy thinks.... I just took a look at the MRI CD... It's pretty cool what they can look at inside you... Lot's of prayers folks... It helps immensly to know that so many people are praying for us. Thanks! We'll let you know when we know more.

Update on Stormii

For those keeping score at home.... Yesterday, Stormii had her MRI done... She was in there about an hour (I napped in the waiting room) and that was it...

Today, we go get the results. Tomorrow- Pre-op And next Monday, they knock her out and inject dye up into her kidneys. Who knows where we will go from there. Prayers are helpful folks... Feel free to say all you want- we won't object. Let's hope they can figure out exactly what's going on inside her, and can figure out a safe/quick/easy way to correct it. Thanks.

I think she likes it!!!!

Somebody decided to take her new desk for a test drive instead of watching the Super Bowl.... I'm kinda glad she did... Now she can give me a bit more input on what she needs in the way of shelving before I just build something that doesn't fit. So far, I know for sure she needs lighting.... Any of you folks that do scrapbooking.... Go by my wife's page and tell her how you organize 50,000 stickers and assorted other little things like that... Maybe it'll help her figure out what to tell me to build.

Lazy Sunday

Friggin' Blogger! Since Friday, I've had issues getting to my blog. Serious issues... That didn't bug me so bad though.... What bugged me was not beig able to show my wife all the great comments people left for her on her birthday until the day after. Oh well.... It seems to be working now, so I guess it's all good. I probably would have sat around on the PC for far too long had it been working. So anyway... I'm looking around this morning, and I noticed some hits from Bloggy Award... And look at that.... I got this: Woohooo! Wow! I'm almost embarassed on the write up... How cool is it when people say good things about what you have worked so hard on? Thanks Bloggy Awards folks! I guess I am gonna go start my lazy Sunday... I've decided that the only thing on today's agenda is making a huge plate of nachos before the game.... other than that... I'm not doing jack. (well... I will run to church too, but you get the point).

Last night on Survivor....

Before we get too in to this... Make sure you visit my wife's page and wish her a happy birthday! First up- we see the teams- 4 tribes of four people... seperated by gender and age... (this thrilled the "older women"- they weren't real happy to be classified that way)... They all meet up on 'Exile Island', and Jeff explains that each week, somebody will be banished to live there "by themselves" (I guess the crew who will also be there don't count). Straight off the top, they go into their first reward challenge... Each tribe must pick one member to run across the island to a pile of skulls... smach open skulls until they find an amulet, and run back with their amulet. The first three tribes back get flint- the last tribe gets nothing AND has to leave somebody behind. The young women lose and they play 'rock paper scissors' to figure out who to leave. Misty loses but gets some good news.... Hidden somewehere on the island is an individual immunity idol. (BTW- this idol comes with some new rules- you don't have to say you have it until AFTER the votes are read... if you play it after your whole tribe votes for you, the person with the second highest votes goes home) At the Golden Girls camp, we find out Tina is a Lumber Jill- she busts her ass making a shelter, made the fire, found the water, etc... while the others struggled to keep up. Cirie has apparently never stepped foot out of her house... she reveals her great fear of....... Leaves! OMG! She is scared of friggin leaves! How funny is that? She came on Survivor- a show where you spend a little over a month camping out, and you are scared of leaves? Anyway- At the boys camp, we learn that the 4 younger men are the biggest idiots to ever play the game. They start off by playing a little rock baseball before they realize they need to get a camp set up. Aras pulls the guys together to try to meditate about getting fire- yeah... ok... I don't think they ever got it to work. Then they throw some sticks against a tree and some leaves on it and call that shelter. Austin had the most observant comment that came from any of them: "We don't have a clue what we are doing". The 'Spice Girls' weren't much better than the young guys... They wandered around trying to find the best space to set up camp. And they wandered. And they wandered. Picture trying to arrange furniture... What about this corner... No wait... let's try it over there... etc.... Then they found a dead turtle. Courtney decides that she needs to have some big ordeal with the turtle... she draws a heart around it- she places a shell as a headstone... she sends out notifications to it's next of kin, etc... The Old guys start a fire, build a shelter, add a game room and a smoking lounge onto it, and then Shane remembers he smokes three packs a day but forgot to bring any with him. So he should go nice and nuts in the next few days... Meanwhile on Exile Island, we get treated to Misty digging up earthworms and eating them. That was pleasant. :) Immunity challenge Beginning on platforms in the ocean, the tribes must race over a wall, dive into the ocean and swim to their tribe raft. The last person over the wall dives down to unclip a rope, releasing the raft. The tribe then paddles the raft towards shore. Once the tribe latches their raft to the hitching post on shore, they race to solve a brainteaser puzzle, which releases a giant ring. The tribe has the option to dig down several feet and search to uncover an answer key to solve the puzzle. Once the ring is released, the tribe attaches it to a rope that they use to throw at a grappling hook to unfurl their tribe flag. The first three tribes to raise their flags win Immunity. OK- That was a mouthful, so I copied it off of CBS's website. I hope they make all the challenges this year that complicated! We get treated to our first breast shot- unfortunately it is from Cirie. Ewwwwww..... Anyway The young girls hauled butt and won the thing... Then the old guys made it shortly after. The young guys struggled getting their raft unhooked and it looked like they might lose, but the Geezer Girls couldn't figure out the puzzle. So the Ancients are heading to tribal Council. I won't even go into the camp stuff, but at Tribal Council I saw one of the DUMBEST first vote offs in the history of the game. The weak ladies voted off their workhorse. The one who knew how to handle the outdoors. the strongest one on the team that could have helped them win a time or two. They got rid of Tina. And they kept Cirie- and her fear of leaves to hold them back. I agree with what Tina said at the end... I hope they do terrible. All in all- I like the new twists. It adds something new to the game that has become way too predictable. Let's hope the season is as good as the opening show.

Groundhogs and Rats.....

OK.... Let me get this straight.... Punxsutawney Phil - The little friggin rodent came out today and saw his shadow! So... as the legend goes, we are in store for 6 more weeks of winter.... Ummmmm.... We haven't had 6 DAYS of winter yet. 6 weeks would be great! Bring em on Phil! I dare ya! Meanwhile, back in reality... I need to mow my yard, trim my plants back that have been overproducing all "winter" long, and work on my tan. Today, our "winter" temperature should only get up to 78. brrrrrr.... Break out the parkas! And tonight- Survivor - Exile Island starts! Woohooo! This time, they are splitting them up into 4 tribes of four... And each week, somebody will get to stay alone on the exile island.... Who knows if this twist will be the greatest thing since sliced bread, or be a huge flop like last time they tried to strand somebody overnight (she loved it, and she ended up quitting the next day). Anyway... Can't wait to see how it goes... Tune in tomorrow and hopefully I'll give my review!
