Recall

I have been having issues with my brake lights. One side quit working... I tried to find the part at local auto parts stores, and all told me it was a dealer only part. I was kinda pissed that I had to go all the way to the dealer to get it until I got there today.... I was told to drive into service and they'd fix it free. Apparently, I wasn't the only one with this little problem. -->A MAJOR RECALL TONIGHT OF NEARLY 300 THOUSAND SATURN CARS, BECAUSE OF PROBLEMS WITH BRAKE AND LIGHTS BLAMED FOR 3 CRASHES. -->GENERAL MOTORS IS RECALLING 2000 - 2002 SATURN "L" SERIES SEDANS, AND 2000 - 2004 L SERIES WAGONS. THE REAR BRAKE LAMPS CAN SHORT CIRCUIT. IF SO, THE DRIVER BEHIND YOU WOULD NOT REALIZE YOU ARE STOPPING. CHECK WITH YOUR DEALER.

Tropical Depression 24

Hey look... another tropical depression... The forcasts say that it should be Tropical Storm Wilma tomorrow, and a hurricane shortly after that. Yippeee..... I'm sick of hurricane season this year.

Oops... I forgot to watch Survivor.....

Usually, I'd post about what happened on Survivor last night, but we were busy watching the Astros pluck the Cardinals last night. So... sorry, but no report on Survivor today (I do have it on my DVR... I still get to watch it) It's funny... the entire city has caught baseball fever... Even my wife- who claims to hate the game- sat down and watched it yesterday (and went to work in her Astros shirt today).... I have a feeling that this is their year. Go Astros!

Sad, So Very Sad

. I got this off of the AP wire this morning. Its about a child custody hearing case. If you have kids, PLEASE beware...this is scary... AP Wire: October 13, 2005 A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a courtroom drama today when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Houston Texans, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone

I'm not much of a baseball fan... I usually yawn thru the season and catch a few cames in the World Series or something... But even I got caught up in the Astros game yesterday.... WOW... 18 innings! That was pretty cool! Hope everybody has a great week!
