Update on my wife's B-Day present.....
Well.... I still have a ways to go...
I still need to hook the corner together at the seam....
I still need to screw the counter down...
I still need to mount the pegboard...
I still need to build shelves for up above the desk...
I need to get a light and mount it to the shelves...
I need to run cables and cords for her computer...
I need to do a lot of work.
BUT-
I'm pretty damn proud of this thing already....
Looks like somebody has started moving in...
Ya'll don't think she's gonna like it, do you?
And the award for best picture goes to.....
Hollywood wonders why they are so out of touch and why people are losing interest...
Here are the Best Picture nominnees for the Academy Awards....
Brokeback Mountain
Capote
Crash
Good Night, and Good Luck
Munich
Ummmmmm.... yeah... right... OK.... Whatever....
No Star Wars: Episode III _ Revenge of the Sith
No Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
Not even the Dukes of Hazzard....
(I chose the above three because they are 3 of the 4 I actually went and saw last year- The other was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)
Let's see... Crash was the 65th biggest moneymaker of the year... Brokeback Mountain came in at #74... Munich #99... Good Night, and Good Luck #115... Capote #143...
These came in well behind such great hits as Herbie: Fully Loaded #28, Bewitched #32 & Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous #46.
Is it any wonder why box office receipts are way down? They insist the crap that nobody wants to see is worthy of awards and praise, and they totally ignore what people actually want.
Hey Hollywood... Go check what sells sometime... It ain't the crap ya'll are trying to shove down our throats, that's for sure.

Halfway there!
New Viruses
The George Bush Virus - Causes your computer to keep looking for viruses of mass destruction.
The John Kerry Virus - Stores data on both sides of the disk and causes little purple hearts to appear on screen.
The Clinton Virus - Gives you a permanent Hard Drive ; with NO memory
The Al Gore Virus - Causes your computer to keep counting and re-counting
The Bob Dole Virus - Makes a new hard drive out of an old floppy
The Lewinsky Virus - Sucks all the memory out of your computer, then e-mails everyone about what it did
The Arnold Schwarzenegger Virus - Terminates some files, leaves, but will be back
The Mike Tyson Virus - Quits after two bytes
The Oprah Winfrey Virus - Your 200 GB hard drive shrinks to 100 GB, then slowly expands to re-stabilize around 350 GB
The Ellen Degeneres Virus - Disks can no longer be inserted
The Prozac Virus - Totally screws up your RAM, but your processor doesn't care
The Michael Jackson Virus - Only attacks minor files
The Lorena Bobbitt Virus - Reformats your hard drive into a 3.5 inch floppy ... then discards it through Windows

Progress.... *UPDATED*
I am in the process of building my beautiful wife a scrapbooking desk. It'll be a nice corner desk with lots of space for her to spread out and do her thing....
Anyway... Here's where I'm at so far...
This is the base on one end... this will hold all her paper- both 12 x 12 and 8.5 x 11...
OK... I'm off to the garage to build the base for the other end....
Hey... Here is that base I was building... This end will give her somewhere to put her actual scrapbooks...
Stay tuned for more progress as I get-r-done!

I killed my Blogroll....
I was toying with an idea for awhile... I looked at my blogroll and wondered why I had some of the links I had...
Well.. today.. I quit wondering.
I killed the entire thing.
I was unmerciful- I killed the blogs I like as well as the ones I wondered about... I just went in and hit the Empty blogroll button.
Who knew it would be so easy?
So now... I realized that I don't know the address to a lot of the folks I'd like to add back.
So... were you on my blogroll before and suddenly find yourself without a link listed on my page? Would you like to come back? If so... leave me a comment and I'll see what I can do.
Otherwise... I hope I can find you again...
BTW- even if you weren't listed on my Blogroll before... Leave me a note anyway...
I may just find you interesting enough to add to it.

Help me tell the story.....
I've see this done before, but I was really curious... Where would people who visit me take a story? So I figured let's give it a shot...
I will start a story, and you give us what happens next in the comments...
Johnny woke up full of excitement. He had waited his entire life for this day, and it was finally here! He jumped up, quickly got dressed and headed out the door to...

25 Signs You've Grown UP
1. Your houseplants are alive, and you can't smoke any of them.
2. Having sex in a twin bed is out of the question.
3. You keep more food than beer in the fridge.
4. 6:00 AM is when you get up, not when you go to bed.
5. You hear your favorite song in an elevator.
6. You watch the Weather Channel.
7. Your friends marry and divorce instead of "hook up" and "break up."
8. You go from 130 days of vacation time to 14.
9. Jeans and a sweater no longer qualify as "dressed up."
10. You're the one calling the police because those %&@# kids next door won't turn down the stereo.
11. Older relatives feel comfortable telling sex jokes around you.
12. You don't know what time Taco Bell closes anymore.
13. Your car insurance goes down and your car payments go up.
14. You feed your dog Science Diet instead of McDonald's leftovers.
15. Sleeping on the couch makes your back hurt.
16. You take naps.
17. Dinner and a movie is the whole date instead of the beginning of one.
18. Eating a basket of chicken wings at 3 AM would severely upset rather than settle, your stomach.
19. You go to the drug store for ibuprofen and antacid, not condoms and pregnancy tests.
20. A $4.00 bottle of wine is no longer "pretty good stuff."
21. You actually eat breakfast food at breakfast time.
22. "I just can't drink the way I used to" replaces "I'm never going to drink that much again."
23. 90% of the time you spend in front of a computer is for real work.
24. You drink at home to save money before going to a bar.
25. When you find out your friend is pregnant you congratulate them instead of asking "Oh S*$# what the hell happened?"
Bonus:
26: You read this entire list looking desperately for one sign that doesn't apply to you and can't find one to save your sorry old butt.

It's just the Internet....
I can be an asshole to anybody I want!
I can insult people for grins!
I can make it a point to seek out people who are having fun and try to ruin it for them.
I can be a troll.
I can attack people on thier blogs!
I can say anything I want about anybody...
It's just the Internet!
There aren't real people with real feelings out their...
It's just computers- just 1's and 0's...
-----------------------------------------
It's kind of sad really... There are folks out there who think like that. Folks who don't seem to care one way or another who they upset, who they hurt, what damage they may cause.
They will always be there.... You can choose to jump in with them, or ignore them....
I usually ignore them.... Sometimes, it's fun to get in a flame war for awhile.... But it gets old fairly quickly. Things break down to grade school level, and any hope of seeing intelligent conversation gets lost.
Anyway... none of the stuff above is my point. My point is... It's not "just the Internet"... Well... I guess it could be... But if you look a little deeper... you realize that there are real people behind the keyboards... real people who you can benefit from knowing.
I have a perfect example. I met my wife online. I took a chance and actually went across the country to meet somebody who was "just on the Internet", and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Just a little piece of advise... don't be a prick just for the sake of being a prick... You never know when the person you look at as just an anonymous bunch of bits and bytes might be the person who turns your life around.....
And now for something completely different....

Guest Post.....
I asked a friend in the Army to write up his view of what's going on in Iraq....
Here is what he had to say....
BTW--- Thanks Brian.... Thanks for your service to our country... thanks for doing the job you do... Thanks for the post... Stay safe!
Have you ever watched the evening news and listened to all the horror stories coming from the Middle East and wondered "Does anything go right there?" Or do you take what your local news broadcasts and absorb it like the absolute truth? Well my friends, let me assure you that their is more to the story than what you get out of that 30 second soundbite. You are probably asking yourself what does this moron know that I don't? If you will allow me to entertain you for a few minutes I may be able to answer that question.
I am a Pennsylvania National Guard soldier deployed to Iraq for an 12 month rotation and I am halfway through this deployment. I have served 5 years on Active Duty prior to my National Guard status and this is my second deployment since 9/11. My first deployment was a 7 month rotation in Bosnia, a small muslim country in Eastern Europe. I have seen alot of events take place in just a short period of time. I have kept my eyes and ears open and my mouth shut, absorbing my surroundings and learning everything I could. Upon venturing overhere to Iraq, I kept the same focus I had in Bosnia and blocked out as much of the negative coverage of Iraq so I wouldn't have a predisposed hatred for a country I had yet to step foot in. Allow me to indulge you into what it is really like to be in Iraq and why it is important that we finish the mission.
My unit is stationed in the Al Anbar Province in the northwest region of the country. This area is better known as the "Sunni Triangle". Most of the violence and deaths that you hear about everyday happen in this very small area. The majority of Iraq has become rather quiet since the official end of the war with only a few minor protests or rallies here and there. It is in the cities Baghdad, Fallujah, and Ar Ramadi that the majority of the insurgency and terrorism is occuring. When we first arrived in country, parts of the Sunni Triangle was like the wild wild west. It was a shock to the system both culturally and humanely. But as soldiers we did not back down or cower to the insurgents in our area. We picked up where our predecessors left off and we began to improve what they left for us. We started clearing out schools that the insurgents were using to make bombs and store weapons and turned them back over to the town/city/province that they belonged to so the children can go back to school. We have repaired water treatment plants and helped repair water and sewage lines in the cities so citizens can bathe properly and use bathroom facilities correctly. We have done all this while still managing to patrol the roads, enforce curfews which by the way has cut down drastically the amount of roadside bombs that we encounter. Also, the US forces are training the Iraqi police in latest techniques of law enforcement and counter terror tactics just as our own S.W.A.T. teams do in our big cities. The new Iraqi Army is training side by side with the US soldiers and since our arrival have begun to take over sectors of their cities to get rid of insurgents. These are just a few humanitarian events that we have accomplished in our short time here.
I have also been privileged to witness history not once but twice. I am talking about the voting of the Iraqi Constitution drafted up by Iraq themselves, not by outside governments. I have also seen Iraqi's come out in droves to vote in their first FREE elections. During each of these times, the insurgents did not even attempt to strike. In their only chances for shining moments they cowered and did nothing allowing the great citizens of this nation to take that much more control of their destiny. With each passing day the citizens, the police force, and their soldiers grow stronger and stronger both physically and mentally so that they can beat this insurgency with its ever changing face.
But it has not been all victory and triumph. My unit has lost 7 of its members in this struggle to help create a free Iraq. My fellow brethren laid down their lives helping these people to enjoy the same freedoms we have enjoyed for centuries and for that they are forever my heroes. I too, have been injured in my short time here. I am one of the lucky ones for I only took a small pebble sized piece of shrapnel to my nose during a roadside blast. But I do not let that change my perception of this nation nor its people. I do not blame Islam for the behavior of radicals who hide behind religion as a shield. I also do not let events like Abu Ghraib cloud my vision of what is right or wrong. The people of this great nation have also learned not to judge all by the actions of a few. As long as we continue down this road we will help this nation stand on its own two feet once again but stronger than ever. Stronger in the sense that the people will have a voice. Victory can only be achieved when that moment comes, not when every last insurgent is eradicated.
I hope for those of you who have read this post walk away with something learned, that you have a better understanding of what goes on here from a soldier's perspective.

I have a new renter... She paid top dollar folks, so how about helping me out and giving her a few visits? Tell her guppy sent ya! Click on the thumbnail on the top of the far right column.....
This is the weblog of the website Mystickal Incense & More. It not only features occasional site news and product announcements, but a look into the personal life of the owner, Stephanie Davies. Stephanie hand-makes all of the incense, candles, bath & body products, and other items sold at Mystickal Incense. For this purpose, this is both a personal and business blog. Welcome!
What else is going on you might ask?
Not too much... My back is screwed up and I need to visit my chiropractor... Other than that, it's just another day.... Have a great Friday everybody!

Thursday...
Yesterday, I ran a few errands during lunch... Then I stopped by the house for a second...
When I got back in the car and started it, I heard a horrible noise under the hood. I thought something must have crawled in the engine and was sitting in the fan...
Nope... My serpentine belt decided to come apart. Thank God it happened in my driveway! What better place to get stranded... I did learn that it is surprisingly easy to change the belt out on a Saturn.... They added a hole on the tortioner that a 3/8" ratchet fits right in... Just turn it and it releases the tension on the belt...
So... My car was out of commision for a few hours, but I got it fixed without even a busted knuckle! Woohooo!
On another note... I know you all wonder what would have happened if Iron Maiden had never come up with Eddie- but instead used Sponge Bob as their mascot....
And one last thing...
They need to make more cars like this one...
I hope everybody is having a great week!

Is it Friday yet?
Well... Tonight starts another season of American Idol.
So of course, this means that the folks over at Vote For The Worst are gearing up for another great round of bashing the slop that judges inflict on us as finalists.
The next few weeks are the most fun of any American Idol season... Seeing the idiots who think they can sing and the clueless look on their face when they are told they can't....
This is friggin cool! I want one of these in Houston!
But instead, we just get this... I guess a year round water park is a good thing, but can you picture year round snow???
While thinking of things to do around Houston, there's always the Rodeo! Not that I'll be going, but some people seem to enjoy it... I went once after they moved out of the Astrodome, and decided that I will probably never go again. Reliant Arena just sucks...
Anyway- Hope everybody is having a great Tuesday!

Monday Monday....
It was an interesting weekend. One that made me stop and think about where I hang out online. One that made me stop and think about why I started using Blog Explosion.
I wanted traffic for my blog. Plain and simple. I wanted readers, and Blog Explosion did a great job of providing them. And I had a lot of fun there. New features came in all the time- The Battle of the Blogs, Blog Rocket, Forums, Knowledge, Shoutbox, Games... all kinds of things to make it so much more than just a basic traffic exchange. And I've had a blast being there and meeting the folks I've met.
But today, I find myself asking why I am a member. And when you boil it all down- It's for the traffic. I blog so people can play voyeur on what's happening in my life. I like the little rush that I get when I see new comments on my page. I enjoy seeing what others are up to. It's entertaining. I like it when I win battles. I like most of the people who I have met in this journey.
So today, I started thinking about how to get more traffic. I've been a member of a few other traffic exchanges for awhile, though I've never been very active at them. I was very comfortable with just hanging out at Blog Explosion. I still am, but I think it's time for me to branch out a bit and start seeing what else is out there for me....
So here are a few other traffic exchange places to visit:
Blog Soldiers
Blog Advance
Blog Clicker
BlogMad
If you know of others, I'd love to know about them....
Now... how about something to play with? here's a site dedicated to ways you can Love your computer...
Music past the 80's hasn't done much for me... and I think I figured out why. Where is the guitar in today's music? What is it's place? What ever happened to the guitar God?
100 Greatest Guitar Solos
And one more thing.... I'm not a big coffee drinker. I think the existance of Starbucks is a sad look at life in the world today. But I might even hang out here...

I don't think anything I say is going to top that, so consider this post finished.

Random thoughts on a Friday
First off... I want to discuss Blog Explosion's new chat box. They had an old Shoutbox that was a simple text based place that was fun to hang out in... They upgraded to a fully functional text/video/audio chat room. Great for them.... not so great for me. I enjoyed the old Shoutbox... I could slip in during work and chat... I could lurk and pop up when I felt like it.... It was set up in a way that i felt comfortable.... The new chat just doesn't do it for me. bells and whistles are great... And i know that progress is inevitable... But unfortunately, it just doesn't fit my current needs. So folks... I'm sorry, but I won't be as big of feature there as I once was... I hope everybody has fun with it. I'll pop in now and then to say howdy, but I just can't make it the home away from home it once was......
A little more about Blog Explosion....
Have you visited my new renter yet? It'd be great if you could go by and tell him guppy sent you.
OK.... check this out... It's a replica of Space Mountain made with Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 (OK... I need this game now).
Beauty and the Geek 2 started last night. It looks like it has potential to be a good season... It's too early to tell if it'll be as good as last time... we'll have to wait and see. If you missed it last night, they'll rerun it on Wednesdays so you can get caught up.
OK... let's go in an entirely different direction... I posted awhile back about having squirrels in my attic... I haven't done anything yet to repair the damage they did to my soffet vents, but last Sunday when I was putting the Christmas decorations back up there, I decided to spread a box of mothballs around. I heard that they would drive them out, so I figured I'd try it out. The entire house smelled like mothballs after...
On Monday or Tuesday, my wife informed me that there was a dead squirrel in the back yard. I wondered if he decided to eat a mothball and died? Either way... it's one less that can be in the attic, right? Good deal....
Well... there has been a smell for the last couple of days in the house.... a bad smell... Tonight I will be surveying the attic to find out who else has died- I know there is something dead up there... It is overpowering at this point... I was gagging this morning just smelling it.
Who knew that a few mothballs would have my squirrel population dropping like flys? OMG it is nasty!
Anyway... that's all I have for now... I hope everybody has a great weekend!

30 day challenge
Our local Christian radio station, KSBJ (they have a listen now link) issued a challenge at the first of the year... To listen to nothing but Christian music for 30 days....
I decided to take that challenge...
12 days in now and when I listen to music, It's been nothing but Christian... At work, in the car... at home...
And you know what? They are right... I do feel better. It has made a positive difference in my life. All day long I am immersed in hearing about how great God is- how His love for me is non-stop, how He will be there for me no matter what, how He loves me just the way I am.
I have been in a great mood so far this year.
It's something worth trying- wether you are on fire for God or questioning your faith- Hearing about God's love so much can make your spirit soar...
At least, it has mine.

It's my blog Birthday!!!!
Well... Wednesday is....
I started this place a year ago- just to see what all the fuss over blogs was.... Somehow, I got addicted... This is my 380th post and I've had 20,000 visitors in the last year. I've met a lot of fun people through their blogs and thru Blog Explosion... I got both my wife and my mother addicted to blogging...
So now... On my birthday... I want all of you to give me a present.... I want you all to link to me and send me mass amounts of traffic. I want the most comments on any post I have ever done. So help me out folks! Send em all my way- show me some birthday lovin!
I'll even throw something in it for you... try these links:
Gotta get me one of these...
The Virtual Air Guitar - No skill needed!
Did you know I had my own country? I control the government, I make the decisions, I am in total control. Check it out here: The Free Land of Lesbocavy
Steve, Don't eat it! - It's a twisted account of one man's journey to taste test some of the strange foods that are out there... so you don't have to.
Concerts.....
I spent my youth at concerts... Large outdoor stadium performances- small intimate clubs- parking lots- everything in between.... Live music was the thing that did it for me....
So I thought I'd give ya'll a small sampling of some of my thoughts on some of the bands... Here's the ones I actually remember seeing... There are quite a few that I know I went to, but can't think of who was playing....
Enjoy!
AC/DC - Put on a great show, even if I had to sit through Brian Johnson's awful voice... Angus went out into the crowd and everything....
Alice Cooper - One of the best stage shows ever! Did you know he's a born again Christian now?
Anthrax- Multiple times... All great shows and excellent pits.
Beach Boys - Yawn
Beastie Boys - Saw them a lallapalooza one year... Good time, but the only thing i really remember was jumping up and down and almost breaking some girls ankle... Sorry to whoever you are...
Black Crowes - Saw them twice- both for free. Camped out for free ticekts the first time... great time in line... great shows...
Black Sabbath - Tony Iommi's crappy dream to keep that band going... I walked out they sucked so badly.
Bo Diddley - On a side stage at the rodeo one year, then again at mardi Gras... Bo can play.
C.O.C. - I think they opened for Slayer... pretty boring actually
Charlie Daniels - Play that fiddle! Charlie rocked!
Chicago - I almost fell asleep during this one... The Beach boys opened for them... it should have been the other way around.
Clint Black - Opened for Willie... had no clue who he was, and still have no clue... Yawn
D.R.I. - Great show... great pit... Had a blast!
Dangerous Toys - No memory, but I know I was there must have bored me
Dead horse - A local houston hardcore band... I saw them way too many times to count. I have some great memories from Dead horse shows...
Def Lepard - A girlfriend bought my ticket- I rode up with some friends- she rode up with another date??? I spent my evening with the guys with the thai sticks... Excellent laser show... I was too stoned to care at the time.
Eddie Money - Saw him at a Fourth of july concert one year...
Exhorder - had no clue who they were- had no clue what pit ball was... but somehow got a football in my hands in the middle of the pit. then I found the pit on top of me trying to get the ball.... Ouch!
Fight - Rob Halford found a band that really fit him... I liked Fight better than Priest.
Frank Black - Opened for The Ramones... Wish I showed up late...
Frehley's Comet - Opened for somebody... Sucked royaly.
George Clinton - Another lollapallooza treat...
Glen Fry - Another 4th of July concert... Glen sucked, But When Joe Walsh walked out... it was worth it.
Great White - Good show, but I don't remember too much of it
Hank Williams Jr. - Saw hank a few times at the rodeo...
Heart - Saw at Astroworld... Some girl bought my ticket- I was young and clueless and ended up picking up her friend.... oops....
Iron Maiden - They blew up Eddie at the end of that one.... Those guys ran non stop from the time they hit the stage... Great show.
Joe Walsh - See Glen Fry...
Johnny Winter - Spent the evening puking my guts out... missed most of the show...
Judas Priest - 5 bands- Not bad, but not too great either...
L7 - I think I saw them at the Warped Tour... Strange crowd, but free tickets..
Lynard Skynard - Another rodeo concert... Glad I got to see em...
Megadeth - Good show... The line to get in was the most entertaining though... we had a huge party in the parking lot...
Metal Church - A great band to walk the halls during....
Metallica - Opened for Ozzy (Master of Puppets) - I didn't know who they were when i walked in.... I left a Metallica fan (and i stayed one until Cliff died shortly after)
Morbid Angel - Kinda funny... singer looked like he should be in a hair band, but had one hell of a growl... Good show...
Morbid Scream - Broke my nose during their set... The singer actually came out to check on me after... got a free tape... Jumped back in the pit during the next band....
Motorhead - Saw them twice... The first time was in an arena with horrible sound- The second was in a club with huge sound... made it on stage and shook Lemmy's hand.
Motley Crue - Decent show... My "date" had another date- her girlfriend... I had no clue before hand- kinda strange experience... (and no... it didn't go there)
Ozzy - Saw Ozzy like 7 times... some really good,,, some really awful.
Page & Plant - I always wanted to see Zeppelin- saw the next best thing I guess... Great show- they still jammed!
Prince - My first actual concert... My mother took me...
Ramones - I had a blast at this one...right up until I dove from the stage and had the bouncer slamed my foot into the guard rail....
Retarded Elf - Another band I saw too many times to count... Local band out of Austin... Great fun...
Rigormortis - Were a great band... I saw them after the fact... they had a different singer... they kinda sucked....
Sheila E. - Opened for prince... what can i say?
Slayer - Intense pit!
Steppenwolf - Another 4th of july show... Way too hot, but a lot of fun...
Steve Miller - Killer laser show at the rodeo...
Ted Nugent - Odd evening.... I won tickets and then drove 2 hours by myself through a tropical storm to get there.... Had a radio DJ chick chewing on my ear and scaring the crap out of me....
Tesla - Opened for Def Lepard... Good stuff
Uncle Slam - Opened for DRI... Good pit
Veruca Salt - Good chick band...
Warrant - Opener for somebody... time to walk the halls
White Lion - Same as Warrant
White Zombie - Saw em a few times... Good painful pit....
Willie Nelson - Worst rodeo performance ever... He seemed like he was there for the paycheck and nothing else....
ZZ Top - Twice at the rodeo... neither time impressed me....

Winter warmth....
Today.... It's supposed to be 78 degrees.
Ummmm.... It's January.
Where is the cold? Where is the jacket weather? Snow?
Shorts and a t-shirt anybody?
I need to mow my yard. Did I mention it's January?
It's really strange.... The trees all lost their leaves a while back, but the plants keep right on trucking along and enjoying the winter warmth...
Here are a few pics I took this morning in my yard.... None of these should be flowering right now....

Happy Friday!
I've seen this video on quite a few sites lately, and it cracks me up every time....
There is a reason why you don't kiss your opponent before a fight... Here is why!
Anyway... I hope everybody is having a great day today....
And I hope everybody will go visit my new renter. While politically, I probably disagree with him more often than not, but Ender has a great blog that is worth checking out. Go tell him guppy sent you over...

Append considerable spicery to your living?
Add up important spicery to your liveliness!
Add up substantial spicery to your experience
Inject considerable spice to your liveliness
Add substantial spiciness to your living
WTF?!?
Flavour and spicery anyone? Important, considerable and substantial amounts at that! Gee... I didn't realize it was missing, but now....
I was going to do a whole spam post again, but... as I was looking through the few thousand e-mails... I noticed they were all the same ones over and over and over again....
Buy stox
Buy fake Rolex
Hook up with cheap women
Get laid on video
Cheap drugs with no perscirptoin
E-bay or paypal needs me to verify my account info
I won a lottery I didn't play
Some dude in nigeria wants to give me millions of dollars
Blah blah blah blah....
I need better spammers. I need original spam. I need to be entertained by my spam. There needs to be a law...
I know they can't stop spam from coming, so they should at least require it be entertaining.
Who do I complain to about unoriginal, boring spam anyway?

Projects for 2006
2006 looks like it may be full of woodworking projects. That's cool... I like building stuff... Here are a few I have planned....
1. Paint and install molding around the bathroom we redid... I bought the moulding this past weekend, but I think I may buy a nail gun before I install it. Yay! New tools! I love that....
2. Buy, paint and install moulding in the dining room.
3. This will be the biggest project by far- Turn what is now an office/junk room into an office/scrapbooking/craft room. I need to design & build what will hopefully be around the room countertops with shelving for everything from scrapbooking paper to computer printers to paperclips... This room will hopefully come together sometime this year... I am itching to get started on it... I will also need shelving around the top for my wife's massive Barbie collection... I think we decided to go with some kind of pop-culture theme that I will need to work with too... should be fun.
4. Build a router table. I have plans for a very cool one, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
5. Possibly start building benches to sell.
6. Improve both the oragnization and functionality of my garage/workshop. I made a good start on this Monday while I was off of work... I finally got the garage mostly clean and I have some new spaces to work (no more cutting everything on the floor!) Now I just need to keep it that way.
7. Oops... can't say... There may be presents involved for some people who may read my blog... (or maybe not, I can't say either way)
Anyway... I have a busy year in the garage ahead of me... Hopefully I can get to a good portion of these things... And hopefully my collection of tools grows in the process.
So... If you need me... check the garage... You'll probably find me there with sawdust flying....

3rd post today!
*UPDATE*
Remember my post about the Million Dollar Homepage?
Well... the dude is down to his last 1000 pixels... and he put them up for auction on E-bay...
As of right now, he has gotten 67 bids and it is up to $21,800.00 !!!!!!!!! He still has 7 days to go on the auction!
OK... somebody help me figure out a simple way to get rich like this.... I can't believe this worked for this guy! More power to him, but man... I am jealous!
New Reality TV schedules.....
Come on.... admit it....
You are going nuts without any reality TV shows to watch....
Well... you are in luck! January brings a new season for you to laugh at the wannabe stars of reality TV...
Here are a few starting up in the next few weeks:
Dancing with the Stars - Jan. 5
Who knew that this one would be a hit the first time around? John Hurley got ripped off, but came back and won their "rematch".... Stacy Keibler (WWE Diva) is one of the dancers... I have no clue who else they talked into this....
And if that wasn't good enough for you, Fox dug into their cheap rip-off closet and came up with
Skating with Celebrities - Jan. 18
What you talkin bout Willis? Todd Bridges is one of the "celebrities" they chose for this one... Gee... Can't wait.... This show should be better than Nyquil.
Beauty and the Geek - Jan. 12.
Hopefully this one is nearly as good as the first time around... Last time was one of the better shows on... Let's hope they don't screw it up.
American Idol - Jan. 17
American Idol is back with a new group of misfits who think they have what it takes to get their 15 minutes of fame... I love the folks who seem convinced they have a voice- not the ones who obviously go in to try to get on TV... but the ones who must have gotten told they can sing by their family... the truly clueless ones.... They are classic.
The Biggest Loser: Special Edition - Jan. 9.
A short run, five-episode spin-off of the popular weight-reduction contest features families and engaged couples.
Who knows if they can pull this off like this... the real show does good and builds a relationship between the viewers and the cast... This will do what, let us see big folks we don't know get smaller? Not sure if it's gonna work.
Anyway.... there you go.... there's a few new shows for you to wet your appetite for reality TV...
Thank God for DVR- I don't think I could handle any of them without the fast-forward button... But I will try to suffer thru a few of these and tell you my opinions.... I know you can't wait!
Happy New Year (again)
I thought about my first post in the new year...
Should I post a review of 2005?
How about a forward look at 2006?
Resolutions for the new year?
None of it sounds right.... So maybe I'll just post like nothing happened....
So here goes...

Now... if only I could finish my new template....
