This weekend is Ballunar Festival!!! Every year, I get all excited and must get up early and go watch the balloons take off... Today, only my daughter would wake up with me, so off we went...
First- we found a field where they were inflating.... Here's my daughter and her favorite....
Here's what this cow wishes everybody would kiss....
Just a few in the sky...
Benihana!
We got real close.... Close enough to feel the heat off the flames....
Another one taking off...
This one is another that we were real close to....
Here we go landing.... We ran around to the other side of NASA to watch them all land and play in the water... Heather discovered that they all will give out trading cards if you ask them thanks to the guys in this balloon.....
Taking a little dip....
On the water....
Anyway- There are a few of the 138 pics I took this morning.... Another launch this evening and another in the morning.... I love this time of year...!
Find out how Sleeping Beauty woke up this morning by checking out her site!

I would love to ride in a balloon! I see them around here every once in a while. How cool.

I've actually been up in one once, a while ago now, not that I am soon to forget it!
oh wow! that is so cool! i've never even seen one...
cool shots, guppy!
I just read another journal where a person was woken up by the sound of these balloons. He mentioned the festival and had a picture of that one with the flame. Weird.
That would be my wife.... See the sleeping beauty link at the bottom of my post!
that looks like such a great day, i'm torn between wanting to go on a ballon ride and not wanting to, something about those heights in that little basket, brings out the coward in me.
Looks like fun! But i would have been with sleeping beauty..LOL ASLEEP!
Very cool! Hope you have a great weekend:)
Those are so cool. Looks like a lot of fun. When we lived in San Diego we could look out our window and see a dozen on any given day. THeya re so cool yet you wouldn't find me riding in one.
