Childhood memories....
Have you seen the new Weebles? WTF? I saw these the other day and I was horrified.... Those things are not Weebles!!!!
This is a Weeble!
They are small, egg-like little things that were some of the greatest toys ever invented! I remember mine well... My Weeble tree-house, the swings... Anyway... why'd they have to go and screw up such a great toy????
But that got me thinking about some of the other toys I loved as a kid... Besides the Legos and the Star Wars figures, I had all kinds of things.... Here are a few of the ones I loved the most.
Suckerman! Whoever came up with this idea was a genious... Let's take a foot tall plastic demon/alien thing and cover it with suction cups! It'll be huge! And it was... I loved my Suckerman- My sliding glass door in the house I grew up with always had suction cup marks.
This idea probably got someone in a lot of trouble... The original version of these would shatter and apparently caused a lot of injuries... But I don't think that's really why they quit selling them... Me and my friend would take off the handle and we had instant weaponry.... throw these at a tree and they wrap around it and it's all cool.... throw them at your friends and cause all kinds of pain! Plus, ifyou just used them as they were meant to be used, you annoy the hell out of your parents!
Evel.... The Greatest stuntman ever.... I had pull back cycles, rip cord cycles, all kinds of Evel stuff.... The Man, The Myth, The Toy!
Anyway.... Just figured I'd take a stroll down memory lane.... What are some of your favorite childhood toys?

I loved my weebles ..I too had the treehouse !!!!
I also played with evil with my boy cousins ..Great times !!!
the other two toys I have never seen in my life ..lol Sorry baby .
"Weebles wobble but they don't fall down." Sorta like the late Dudley Moore in his prime.
Ahem.
As for my toys, I was a Lego junkie (I still have a space shuttle I built over twenty years ago). And I played my Intellivision so much we had to go out and buy another one. I still prefer it to today's graphically overloaded PS2 and Xbox crap.
I totally still have that mickey mouse one..it's in the basement..I'm pissed that one of the kids chewed on it though..ugh
but my grandma saved it for me..I loved that weeble.
I love those clicky-ball things...my parents, naturally, hated them.
Barbie & Ken were amongst my favorite toys...and Toggles. I LOVE Toggles.
Any my spirograph.
And...
Wow...blast from the past!
Weebles may not fall down but they hurt like heck when you step on them in the dark because SOMEONE didn't out their toys away.
I miss all my childhood toys, my kids are missing out.
When I first started reading your post, the first thing I thought of was my Evil Knievil action figure. Low and behold you must have been saving the best for last. I had the action figure and the van with the ramp but my parents couldn't find the motorcycle. The motorcycle sat in a stand and you wound it up and it would take off and jump the van. They got me a lame plastic one instead. It just wasn't the same. But I still wasted a many an hour pretending I was him.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I LOVED Weebles too. The great thing is, my mom saved just about every toy I had. Now I am pulling them out for my boys. Except, they think my weebles look funny. NOT! The new ones look freaky, not mine!
I had every one of those. I once pulled the glass out of a window with the suckerman. I cut my foot pretty bad when I dropped it in surprise.
Oh man those clackers...I busted my wrists so many times with those (no one ever called me coordinated!) My youngest son (now 19) has three TRUNKS full of legos in my shed. Those mothers hurt when you step on them in the middle of the night! I still work with preschool kids so I can play with the toys, although they're just not as cool today as they were back in the day.
I still have my "clicky" ball toy at my moms house. I'd never give it to my kids..but was thinking it would be a good way to stop them in their tracks if they were trying to get away from me!!
HEADS UP!
