30 day challenge

Our local Christian radio station, KSBJ (they have a listen now link) issued a challenge at the first of the year... To listen to nothing but Christian music for 30 days.... I decided to take that challenge... 12 days in now and when I listen to music, It's been nothing but Christian... At work, in the car... at home... And you know what? They are right... I do feel better. It has made a positive difference in my life. All day long I am immersed in hearing about how great God is- how His love for me is non-stop, how He will be there for me no matter what, how He loves me just the way I am. I have been in a great mood so far this year. It's something worth trying- wether you are on fire for God or questioning your faith- Hearing about God's love so much can make your spirit soar... At least, it has mine.

Have to agree. I listen to it when I drive to work - usually one song gets stuck in my head and I humm it all day long :)

Guppy, If you get tired of your radio staion you can listen to the one here in Atlanta. Just search J93.3 and it should come up. On Monday mornings they play 93 songs in a row. I am listening to your station right now.

I know what you mean Guppy. I've noticed that especially in traffic, my attitude is MUCH better now that I listen to one of the four - yes four! - Christian radio stations here in Austin.

FYI, another person for you to check out is the former guitarist for KORN - Brian "Head" Welch. He became a born again Christian and quit the band. His website is: http://headtochrist.com/

Guppy, interesting challenge. There is not a doubt in my mind that it would help almost anyone. Music can build up or tear down. I drive the same 100 miles of road over and over 4 times each work day. There is a stretch of road (about 20 miles) that my radio will only pick up one fm station, and it is a Christian station. So for about 80 miles each day I listen to Gospel Music.
I did want to commend you on your blog, you are constantly improving it, and I think the format is top drawer. I remember the first blogs of a lot of people at BE, and nothing stays the same. There are tons of well designed blogs with good content at BE. I'm glad to be a part of Blog Explosion.
